On Saturday morning, I attended my friend Jenn's indoor cycling class at TEMPO in Cambridge. It's a super cool environment and a brand new studio. As with every one of Jenn's classes, I left feeling like I was on cloud nine. The energy and happiness she carries enthuses the entire class to no end. Anyway, she's inspiring me to want to become a spin instructor before the end of this summer. I see how much fun she's having up there - and it's truly contagious.
Yesterday at the Y, I saw that the spinning room was open. So I took a seat in the instructor's bike at the front, plugged in my phone, and began instructing as if I was actually teaching a class of 30 (in reality, it was just one friend). I didn't realize how loud the music was but probably pretty loud considering every person who walked by stared with confusion.
Regardless, the playlist energized me and made for a great sweat. Check it out: the perfect spin playlist! It's all about finding what you like and what motivates you. These days for me, it's definitely "I Took A Pill in Ibiza," despite my making up half the words.
