Avocados and peanut butter have too much fat?! They’ll make us fat?! Seeds and nuts are highly caloric? Hmm, should I reconsider my diet?

I’m often discouraged when I hear people put down such healthful foods. If you’ve never heard anyone discuss the matters mentioned above, well, believe me, it happens.

It’s crazy to me to think about any of this in a negative light.

The healthy fats found in natural, whole foods are so important. Your body will shut down if you don’t get enough of them. Furthermore, they’re hugely beneficial for the health of your hair, skin and nails.

For some reason, as a society, we have no issue finding the “downsides” to healthful foods, yet most of Americans’ diets comes from processed foods. And as for the high calories in nut butters or seeds, it’s excellent. This provides us with quality, sustained energy.

As far as I’m concerned, there’s no worthy complaint when it comes to whole foods. You really can’t go wrong.
