Homemade soup is great because you can change the recipe each time you make it and adjust it to your liking. There are so many variations too, and you can easily incorporate a lot of nutrients and vegetables. “Spice” it up with paprika, oregano, basil, pepper, thyme, and the list goes on and on!
Canned soups are often loaded with sodium, sugar, and preservatives to keep them fresh, but making your own soup is a great alternative. When soups are made with care, they are nutritious and healthful. As the summer starts up, start to think about cold soups, too!
